Vanessa and Andrew said “I do” at the beautiful picturesque Richibucto River Resort. They had love and sun all day long! The rented the entire resort for 3 days to make it a wedding weekend.new brunswick wedding photographer
GETTING READY
Vanessa got ready in the master suite of the main lodge, surrounded by her best friends and family. Music played and laughing, hugs and happy tears were all around. Andrew prepped in a chalet just walking distance away. He treated himself to a sauna and had what he called “the best shave of my life”! Vanessa and Andrew decided to have a private first look, so I got Andrew ready on the stunning lane leading to the resort while Vanessa made her entrance.
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony was an intimate affair just off the banks of the Richibucto River. Anchored by two antique church doors, the long walk down to the site made it perfect for all their loved ones to admire them. Andrew made his way down first, followed by the wedding party and then Vanessa. Her brother walked arm in arm with her and as she reached the archway, her proud father walked her the rest of the way. There was not a dry eye in the house! Both bride and groom wrote their own vows. Each so heartfelt and genuine, full of love and pride in each other. Truly incredible to witness, I still get choked up thinking about them! After the I do’s they greeted each guest with hugs and laughter and then we found a perfect spot for all the family pictures. The emotional moments were endless!!
THE RECEPTION
Another unique feature of this resort is everything is onsite, including a reception barn. After a wonderful cocktail hour on the patio, the guests made the short walk to the reception barn. The roof came off when the bride and groom made their entrance, dancing all the way to their seats.
The dinner was a buffet provided by Bistro 33, chicken and salmon with harvest vegetables and salad. Truly delicious to the last bite.
Andrew and Vanessa repeated said the day just kept getting better and better, enjoying and partying with their family and friends was the highlight.
Games and speeches finished off the reception, which included an epic Dirty Dancing routine, the best dance clips ever witnessed, numerous cheers and lots more emotions. new brunswick wedding photographer
THE COUPLE
Vanessa and Andrew met at a BBQ that was kinda sorta thrown so they could meet. See Vanessa was new to the area and she recently joined a soccer team. One of the players said she knew she had to introduce Vanessa and Andrew so she organized a BBQ and so it started.
Vanessa said the minute she saw Andrew she knew. In fact, she made the first move but it took no time for Andrew to fall head over heels for his bride. They soon were inseparable and have traveled all over the country, creating memories and learning about each other, building a solid foundation that is so evident when you meet them.
I can’t say enough about this couple, there is definitely something special about them. The way they look at each other is something not often seen, a beautiful deep respect and admiration. I look forward to being a part of their amazing journey as husband and wife. xox
